The band Perfect Stranger was founded in the fall of 1999 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. It consist of lead vocals Boris Taskov, lead guitar Angel Demirev, keys Vladislav Stoychev, drums Emil Stoychev and bass Kancho Andreev. All members of the band have bachelor degree education in music. In 2002 the band recorded the first album called „RED MOON“, the album consist of seven songs and is hard rock oriented. The recording was done in the local rec studio „Flash Point“, Stara Zagora, BG. In June 2004 Perfect Stranger performes in a rock festival in Nessebur, and takes home the highest award for best rock band and best guitarist Angel. Second album’s called „NAPALM“ and was recorded in the same studio as the first one „Flash Point“. In this album the band remained true to it’s tradition by recording five songs but unlike the Red Moon the new album is in the style of progressive rock. On 16th of July 2005 Perfect Stranger participates in the festival „Berkstock“,Berkovitsa and again takes home the highest award for best guitarist Angel.
On 01th of October 2005 Perfect Stranger took part in the rock party „Rock In The Park“ where the band shines as one of the best in the rock community and is highly praised in magazines like Dnevnik. The band also have a number one song for two years in a row in a music radio station competition chart „Black Sheep“. In 2008 Perfect Stranger records album „SOUL“ produced by Mladen Stoyanov, where the band experiments in the new style of Alternative Rock and through it secures to be among the best rock bands in BG. The hit song of the album is Izpoved. The band released a video of the team song and is promoting it on the radio and TV. Perfect Stranger took part in the first aero rock show „AERO ROCK STARZ“ in Stara Zagora, held on 09th of July 2011 at the „Stara Zagora“ airport.
In winter at 2014 the band entered the „TOTO Studio“, Plovdiv, Bulgaria to record latest album „BLISS“ produced by Nikolay Kirov. The album consist of seven songs. Also recorded a video clip to one of the tracks called „Empty Days“.
In 2016 Perfect Stranger start new project called „The Real Dream Theater Tribute“. It contains some of the most popular Dream Theater’s songs. At the same time band replaced bass player Kancho Andreev with Stanislav Georgiev. Over the next two years, the band is touring the most popular clubs in Sofia, Plovdiv, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Burgas, Varna and more…to promote and develop this project.
In 7-th December 2019, Perfect Stranger realized concert with the Symphony orchestra (Stara Zagora and friends). Together with the orchestra the band performed one of the most popular albums of Dream Theater called Metropolis Pt.2:“Scenes from A Memory“ 1999. They call this project „Scenes from A Lifetime“. Maestro Krassimir Kashev, who is also the conductor of the concert, has made a great contribution to the writing of scores. The full hall of „House of Culture“ in Stara Zagora sees something that was not done by anyone in Bulgaria. That same year the band and Dream Theater’s album celebrated their 20th anniversary. This is the reason why the boys realize this dream.
Currently Perfect Stranger is constantly performing all over the country and is open for invitations.
